I was feeling a bit mysterious about these pictures, so wellllll. I went for it. The outfit is a gorgeous top from Teefy, and a fantastically versatile skirt from Sn@tch. Sort of simple. I’ve dressed it up a bit with hair by Moon, red lipstick and some Dark Mouse jewelry that you can’t quite see. As always, credits are below the pics. I would credit the shoes, but welp, you can’t see them now that I went a bit nuts with filters. These pictures were taken on the Athan Selidor sim. Check out the full set of photos from this series on my Flickr.
I imagined this particular dress should be worn on a starry night, spinning round and round. Of course in SL it’s possible to make this dream come true, but I would have needed a spinning emoticon, and then somehow figured out how to capture the shot. I can only keep trying!

So I do love my mesh body. Now I need clothes for it. I have pretty much ALL standard size clothing in my inventory, and as they say, do please try the demos! UGH! Welp I’ll be a shopping fool for a while.

Ok so, I’ve finally gone and done it. I finally got a mesh body.
I got a bunch of demos, tried a variety and finally settled on the Physique Mesh Body by SLink. I like the body quite a bit, I already have the feet and hands, and I trust that the body will work for me. I found that I could play with the SL sliders and adjust various things to make it as close to my original shape as possible (already pretty much a standard medium). I already had the Lara Hurley applier for my favorite skin, so that worked too. I realized a couple of things as I started taking pictures of my hot new body (because let’s face facts..all bodies in SL are hot). I would be spending a lot less time in photoshop fixing ragged edges on my avatar. This can only be a good thing. Clothing FITS me better. Siddean provides free updates. In other words, it’s all good, I can hardly go wrong. I thought that the price was reasonable! And I’m already so far behind the curve on mesh that it was time to just do it. I don’t know if I’ll involve myself with Mesh heads, but almost certainly NOT until the day they become editable. So about the outfit. I’ve had the pants and shoes for a while, and probably have worn them before in a post. It’s the top I’m in love with. Made by a new to me designer, Just Because, it fits wonderfully, and I love the color combo. I expect to see great things from this designer in the future. Anywho, I took a whole series of shots that you can find on my Flickr, and as always, outfit credits are below the pics.

I have a few movies that are on my all time favorites, and Practical Magic is one of them. I’ve always loved the movie, because the idea of a family of witches living in a stunning house by the Sea is well…the life. In the outfit I’m wearing today, there’s a bit of simplicity, but I like to think it’s something Gillian would wear. The baby dragon on my shoulder is because it’s Second Life and I CAN! It’s from one the designers that I personally fangirl, Halogen Magic and Half Deer, a perfectly placed whimsy of a shop in Second Life. These are some of my spoils from recent shows, specifically Arcade and Uber. I had a bit of trouble taking these pics. I couldn’t find the right windlight, couldn’t figure out the right angles with my baby dragon. Ah well. Enjoy, the credits are below the pics. I also posted these on my Flickr, and used a fun comic book filter on them because I love comic books.
